Steampunk Rare Authentic Vintage Optical Glasses Goggles with Removable Magnifying Optical Lenses by Velvet Mechanism - Here is a pair of antique steampunk goggles from my jewelry line, Velvet Mechanism! These rare, antique optical glasses are really unique! Perfect for a steampunk outfit or decor! I believe that these glasses are from the 1920s or earlier. These are suitable for men or women. I believe that these glasses were used by eye doctors to measure eyesight. The glasses have a thick black elastic strap that fits around the back of the head (it un-clips at the side) and a nose piece that can be adjusted up and down. It's possible that these were originally made for children, as they are a bit small. With the elastic strap adjusted to the largest size, these measure about 18" around (glasses plus elastic strap). The glasses alone measure about 5" across at the front. If this is too small to fit on your head, these might work better around a hat band, or as a really unique display piece! I'm including a set of 2 vintage optical lenses with these glasses. These are great for display purposes, and can be easily removed. I'd recommend using care if you wear the glasses with the lenses, since there doesn't seem to be a way to tightly attach them. These lenses are actual prescription vintage lenses, so they will adjust your vision. One is stamped with -.25, and the other with -5. One of these lenses has a little bit of rust at the tab, and they both have two tiny scratches. These glasses are in excellent condition for their age. I can't find any flaws with the frames. Steampunk Vintage Pocketwatch Chain from Velvet Mechanism - I've managed to get my hands on several vintage pocket watch chains. These are great steampunk accessories, and they make great gifts! They each feature a clasp on one end and a hook on the other. The clasp is for your pocketwatch, and the hook is for your pocket or button hole. They measure roughly 14" from end to end. I have several different colors of metal and styles of hooks available. #1 is silver, #2 is gold/brass, #3 has a dark, aged patina (please note that each chain is unique, and may differ slightly from the photo), #4 is an antiqued gold/silver mix, not as dark as number 3, but also with an aged patina. These all have a simple, solid hook.
