Vintage Tiered Petticoat Slip - This vintage petticoat/slip is tagged as a size medium and is long and flowing. It's a full 40" long and somewhere around 70" in circumference around the bottom. This slip originally had four panels, but my mom added a fifth muslin panel to the bottom, to lengthen it for a dress that she believed needed a bit more flounce. This was originally purchased and hand-tailored in the 1950s, and has been in storage ever since. The muslin has frayed vertically at the spot where it overlaps. The overlap is purposely left as an overlap and not a seam so the wearer can kick up her heels and dance (or go up steps) without being constricted by the cylindrical shape of the petticoat. Also, it's got some yellowing from age, and needs some loving care. I thought about dyeing it and wearing it by itself, but it's just too tiny for me. It's got some funky potential, which is ironic for a piece out of the 1950s. Selling for $17 (plus shipping)

	Vintage Tiered Petticoat Slip - This vintage petticoat/slip is tagged as a size medium and is long and flowing. It's a full 40" long and somewhere around 70" in circumference around the bottom. This slip originally had four panels, but my mom added a fifth muslin panel to the bottom, to lengthen it for a dress that she believed needed a bit more flounce. This was originally purchased and hand-tailored in the 1950s, and has been in storage ever since. The muslin has frayed vertically at the spot where it overlaps. The overlap is purposely left as an overlap and not a seam so the wearer can kick up her heels and dance (or go up steps) without being constricted by the cylindrical shape of the petticoat. Also, it's got some yellowing from age, and needs some loving care. I thought about dyeing it and wearing it by itself, but it's just too tiny for me.
